Following the traces of Lawrence of Arabia, Dr. Hans-Peter Bärtschi travelled from the Lebanese border over Damascus and Amman to the Gulf of Aqaba in 1991 and described his impressions in his book “Endlicher Fortschritt” (“Finite Progress”).
